Job Description
Location: South Florida (Pompano Beach area)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $22 – $25 per hour (based on experience)
We are a small, growing electrical contracting company with three service trucks on the road. We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated Office Manager to handle daily administrative, scheduling, and bookkeeping responsibilities.
Much of the day is spent working independently, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable taking initiative, managing tasks without constant supervision, and handling responsibilities with confidence and professionalism.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming customer calls in a friendly, professional manner
- Schedule and dispatch technicians efficiently
- Manage service calendars and appointments
- Handle Accounts Receivable: invoicing, payment tracking, and follow-ups
- Use QuickBooks Online for bookkeeping and record-keeping
- General office support, data entry, filing, and organization
- Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Experience with QuickBooks Online is required
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize
- Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently for a majority of the day
Preferred (but not required):
- Previous experience working for a contractor, electrician, HVAC, plumbing, or similar service company
- Experience with scheduling/dispatching technicians
