Job Title: Receptionist PT Aide Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado

Employment Type: Part-time 28 hours - Tuesday to Friday

Overview: The Physical Therapy Receptionist and Aide helps PT Clinic Manager and PTs with day-to-day operations of the practice; which include front office activities and reception duties, mail, purchasing requests, training and retraining staff when appropriate. Assists PTs in the implementation of patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function and strength when appropriate.

Requirements:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Greet and receive patients and visitors in a friendly, welcoming manner, creating a positive first impression.
  2. Assist patient with immediate needs and address pertinent questions.
  3. Coordinate patient activity in reception area, report problems or irregularities, and communicate delays to patients.
  4. Register new patients on computer system.
  5. Obtain detailed patient information and copies of insurance card and ID.
  6. Update patient demographics at each visit.
  7. Inform patients of the patient payment requirements for their visit and collect payments.
  8. Schedule patient appointments per protocol both in person and on the phone.
  9. Assist PT’s in case management
    1. Monitor visit numbers
    2. Administer functional measures as needed
    3. Re-submit authorizations when needed
    4. Communicate with WC Coordinator/Nurse case manager regarding work comp cases
    5. Request updated patient script from MA’s outside clinic when needed
  10. Maintain open communication and support customer service needs.
  11. Answer phones and text messages, and direct callers appropriately per protocol
  12. Manage cash drawer per protocol.
  13. Oversee reception area and lobby maintenance.
  14. Ensure services are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements.
  15. Utilize good communication skills with patients and department staff. In particular, is responsible for successful communication between GMA PT staff and the rest of GMA organization.
  16. Perform administrative duties as assigned.

  18. Straighten, clean and prepare therapy stations and equipment
  19. Keep patient’s health information confidential at all times and maintain HIPAA compliance.
  20. Unlock and lock the clinic at assigned times to maintain the security and integrity of the facility.
  21. Attend and participate in scheduled department meetings.
  22. Look for ways to better serve patients and GMA and offer suggestions.
  23. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS : Strong communication skills are a must, as well as good professional judgment and ability to think on your feet. Exudes a high degree of professionalism and customer service. Strong communication and people skills. Must be detail-oriented and a team player.

Compensation details: 18-20 Hourly Wage
