Senior Full-Stack Developer

We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer who's fluent in Node.js, Fastify, and React - and ready to take the lead on critical builds. You'll be hands-on in the codebase, help shape our architecture, and guide junior developers as we scale. STARTUP REALISTS NEEDED. This is a true 0-1 opportunity with pre-seed compensation but enormous upside potential. We're looking for someone who understands the early-stage journey and values equity + career growth over initial salary. What You'll Do:

• Own key features end-to-end: architecture, development, testing, and deployment.
• Develop fast, scalable APIs using Node.js with Fastify.
• Build clean, responsive UIs in React (Next.js experience is a plus).
• Help scope and estimate tasks for sprints, and contribute to technical planning.
• Mentor junior developers and lead code reviews to maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to turn requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability as user base grows.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack development with demonstrated expertise.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js, Fastify, and React ecosystem.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment (AWS, Vercel, or similar).
• Ability to work independently and make technical decisions with confidence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills - you can explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a remote environment.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with microservices architecture, WebSockets, or background job processing.
• Previous work in a SaaS or startup setting.
• Comfortable in Agile environments using tools like Jira or GitHub Projects.
• Experience with performance optimization and scaling web applications.
• Knowledge of TypeScript and testing frameworks.
