Join our dynamic Surgical Services team and be the hidden hero behind every successful surgery! **Why Join Us?** + **Critical Impact:** Be the surgeon's right hand, directly contributing to patient safety and outcomes. + **Diverse Cases:** Master scheduled and emergency procedures, constantly expanding your expertise. + **Team Excellence:** Work alongside top surgeons and nurses in a high-performing, collaborative environment. + **Continuous Growth:** Stay at the forefront of surgical technology with ongoing development. **What You'll Do:** + **Sterile Master:** Prepare and sterilize all surgical supplies, instruments, solutions, and medications. + **Setup Pro:** Meticulously organize sterile tables and anticipate surgical team needs. + **Vigilant Guardian:** Perform accurate counts, manage specimens, and uphold the highest sterile technique. + **Rapid Responder:** Adapt quickly to emergent situations and maintain efficiency under stress. + **Safety Champion:** Ensure a safe environment, report issues, and assist with OR turnaround. + **On-Call Ready:** Provide essential on-call support with a 30-minute response time. Shift: 6:45am - 5:15pm Schedule: Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri; Includes On Call Rotation **Student loan repayment program as well as relocation assistance offered!** **Job Requirements** **Requirements:** + **Education:** High School Graduate or GED. + **Certifications:** American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (within 30 days). + **Essential Qualification (ONE of the following at hire):** + Graduate of accredited program AND certified (NBSTSA/NCCT). + Graduate of accredited program, pursuing certification within 1 year post-graduation. + Graduate of US military surgical technologist program (16 hrs CE every 2 yrs). + Documented ST practice for 2 of 3 years pre-2017 (16 hrs CE every 2 yrs). \#hellosurgicaltechs **Where You'll Work** At CHI Mercy Health, you'll discover a place where your professional growth is deeply valued within a truly supportive and rewarding environment.
