Assignment Overview

• Job Title: Registered Nurse - MedSurg / Telemetry (Nursing)
• Specialty/Department: CH - MedSurg 6 North (6011)
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Start & End Dates: December 2, 2025 – February 28, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour Days (07:00–19:30)
• Shift Type: Rotating (No block scheduling available)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• On-Call: Not Required
• Overtime Policy: Weekly OT applied after 40 hours worked.

Unit and Clinical Specifics (MedSurg 6 North):

• Patient Population: This is a diverse medical-surgical unit caring for post-operative surgery patients (general, orthopedics, GYN, Vascular procedures), and medical patients presenting with Heart Failure, Chest Pain, PNA, Cellulitis, Pancreatitis, and Alcohol Withdrawal.
• IV Drips/Protocols: RNs manage standard non-titrating drips and protocols, including Heparin, TPN, Lasix, and Cardizem.
• Monitoring: RNs are responsible for identifying cardiac rhythms every 4 hours (Q4). There is no central monitor technician ; monitors are located on the unit.
• Floating: Floating may be required to other units based on facility need.
• Scrub Color: Any color scrub is acceptable.
• Holiday Requirement: Must commit to working every other major holiday during the assignment.
• Language Fluency: Candidates fluent in another language are encouraged to note this on their resume, as the unit serves large patient populations speaking Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole.

Mandatory Submission Requirements:

 

Candidates will NOT be considered if they do not meet ALL of the following criteria:

• Experience: Must have 2+ years of recent experience in Med Surg/Telemetry.
• Travel Experience: MANDATORY. First-time travelers will not be considered. Must document prior travel experience on the resume.
• EMR: MANDATORY EPIC EMR experience.
• Licensure: Active Massachusetts (MA) RN license . NURSYS verification pulled within the last week showing all current and past licenses is required.
• Certification: AHA BLS is required.
• References: 2 recent Manager/Supervisor references in the matching specialty.
• Required Documentation: Up-to-date Skills Checklist, and a Driver’s License with an address that matches demographic information.
• Time Off (RTO): Any requested time off must be included at the time of submission ; it cannot be guaranteed after confirmation.
• Vaccine: Flu vaccine required during the season.

Local Traveler Policy

• Local travelers are accepted if they reside within 50 miles of the facility address.
• A local rate will apply to these candidates.
